Chloe's Story with
Cytoflora
At
BioRay we recently completed a survey to assess the response of children
on the ASD spectrum to CytoFlora. 67% of responding parents noted
significant improvement in speech.

“Chloe
is 4 years old. We started Cytoflora in July. She could say a few words
at that time but not functionally. It was hit and miss. She was
scripting and I knew it even though what she was saying was mostly
unintelligible. She would sing wonder pet songs and I would
catch the tune even when I did not get the words. She had no functional
language.”

Since Incorporating CytoFlora:
“We
got speech or at least speech we could understand from BioRay’s
CytoFlora months ago. I increased her dose on Sunday and it is just
unreal. Chloe has had 5 new words in 3 days!!! We have ‘camel’, ‘baby’,
‘cracker’ for nutcracker (she loves her Mickey Mouse nutcracker),
‘boat’, and ‘car’. She has been using both cracker and boat
appropriately all day! Chloe is using words functionally now and
repeating words too. She still sings wonder pet songs but now I can
understand what she is saying. And she can sing entire lines, not just
a word here and there. She just started singing entire lines of songs
that we can really understand in the last couple of days.
Chloe was playing games on the Fisher Price website, the infant cause
and effect games. I wasn't saying anything just watching her. A spider
popped up and she said ‘spider, spider, spider’... unprompted. SHE IS
LABELING!!!
I
put Chloe in the bathtub with her nutcracker and other toys. She said
‘cracker’, ‘turtle’, ‘duck’ and ‘dush’ (fish). That was the first time
she ever said fish. I picked up the fish and she said ‘duck’- I think
because it was yellow too. She argued with me- kept telling me ‘duck’.
So I started singing the ‘I like fish’ song from Yo gabba gabba. She
watched my mouth for a moment as I made the F sound and then said
‘DUSH’. She said all these things several times while in the tub...?I
keep looking at her and talking to her and SHE IS TALKING BACK! I am
just watching these words tumble out her little mouth and am in awe of
it.
This
little girl is my entire world!! If this keeps up, I am going to say it
is our best intervention ever.”
“I asked the therapists
at Chloe's school therapy if they had ever seen language emerge like
this before. One of the therapists told me she had seen kids get
language but never like this in such a short time span. Chloe is
labeling, repeating words, coming up with a little unprompted
functional speech. The therapist said she was "blown
away".”
More than just Speech:
- “So far, in addition to language, we have gained using a fork.”
- “She
brought her grandma a container of water and a sippy cup. Her grandma
went to get the hemp milk out thinking she would rather have it. Chloe
took the hemp milk back to the refrigerator and came back to the water
and cup."
- “She is attending better,
interacting more as in initiating play and arguing with us. That made
twice in 2 days she has argued with me. Yesterday she told me "I said
no!" And today she was in the waiting room at the doctor to get blood
work. She was rolling a car around the floor and playing with toys
instead of running off. That is new too.”
- “There are probably other things but I am so excited, I can't think!”
